This luxury contemporary mansion perched on a hill overlooking the Thames Estuary in Essex is a gem. We gutted the house back to brick and started again focusing on creating a luxurious family home. The clients wanted the house to be contemporary with ideas that make it perfect for entertaining as they have lots of parties!
The main part of the brief was to open up the views as soon as you walked in and then make the ground floor more conducive to entertaining.
We removed walls, changed levels and completely rebuilt the ground floor to make sure that light flowed into the spaces and the views were seen and noticed as soon as you walked through the front door. We’ve also created a very nice version of a so-called cinema room.
Natural stones, solid woods and leather panels helped to give the home a high end feel and a sense of luxury throughout the house.
